So I’m expecting  about $5,000 to come to me pretty soon and I already have plans for it *does a little dance*. Good thing too, because I have been completely broke for about 3 days now….which means I haven’t been able to eat in 3 days either. I was supposed to have this money a long time ago but my mom forgot to fill out her part of the application and I had thought she already sent it in….finding out a month later that she is just now sending it in pissed me off.

Anyway, first on the list is my rent. I’m gonna pay off 4 or 5 months of that first so I know I have a place to sleep and a toilet to put my waste in.  After rent the obvious thing is FOOD FOOD FOOD!!! I’m hungry and I like to eat. And after I’m done taking care of my responsibilities, its time for some toys. I’m only planning on getting a new laptop from CyberPowerPC at the moment cause I need to save some of the money for a while so I can afford books for next semester.

Other than that just been working on a couple of old projects here and there, and
 thats about it. I’ll post again soon.

So a lot has been going on lately and I really haven’t had a whole lot of time to focus on 1 thing for more than a couple minutes. I have gotten a little bit done as far as web projects go though. None of them are ready for show as of yet but I am working on it a bit. Now that I’m not working anymore hopefully I can squeeze a bit more time into those.

In other news, I have two musical opportunities that may be coming my way. A friend of mines band is looking for a rhythm guitarist and if I am able to work something out as far as practicing while I’m away at school I may take the position. The other chance is to run tech for my brother-in-law’s band. Doing sound, loading/unloading, setting up, light show, keeping instruments tuned and working, etc. Not sure what I’m gonna do yet though as I’m starting school again in a couple weeks….I would really like to be able to play again though.

I haven’t really been doing anything for the web for a couple of months now and I’m starting to miss it. I’m going to try and work on some things over the next few weeks if I can find the motivation to do so. I’ve been having problems with both motivation and inspiration lately, though I’m not sure why. It seems almost impossible to come up with fresh ideas and its extremely hard for me to put them to work due to my lack of motivation and knowledge. I think I may actually try to show off some of my work too, from now on. Till now I’ve usually just kept everything to myself. Anyways, thats a short update on what my plans are… I’ll try to update more.

How many Wordpress blogs are there out there? Too many I know, but I’ve decided to give it a whirl and I think I may also be able to use it to hone my PHP, XHTML, and CSS skills by customizing it to fit my needs.

I’m using a pre-made theme, only until I finish a custom theme that more corresponds with the feel I want my site to establish. Though, I’ve always been a minimalist when It came to web design and graphics are a major ingredient for a website, I’m going to start getting into Photoshop a bit more.

With the way the plug-ins system is set up, I will be able to write my own widgets and other add ons in order to help me better understand PHP and MySQL. I’ve been thinking of a few ideas for plug-ins and I think I may have a solid idea or two that I will announce once I start the development process.

So, this is my plan to become a more elite web developer/designer. Will it work? I hope so. If not I will just try the next thing.
